Ancestors on the Move: Domestic Religious Practices in Vietnamese America

This paper will examine how first and second generation Vietnamese Americans construct their worldviews through home-bound religious practices. In particular, I will center ancestral altar practices as important sites of reverence and as objects of material and expressive culture that reflect the ever-emergent values and tastes of Vietnamese American families.
